These ancestors came once from South Tyrol up.— My Great-grandpa Andrae Emil was a roofer from Schneeberg and, together with many hands, built the blue paint factory (the expensive cobalt blue). Her sister Aunt Ilse ran a department store. My dad Wolfgang ran out of school to be a pilot chasing the bombers from the sky, was a miner and mining engineer. My parents named me Ulrich because of Ulrich von Hutten; his shield: One who dared, worker boy. My mom Traudl was a young telephone operator (called soldiers to the Eastern Front) and technical draftswoman and the sweetest mom in the whole world.
